Moduls Engineering installed complex building services
Moduls Engineering installed complex building services for the new bandstand building of the Mežaparks Great Bandstand .
On 25 may 2020, the new bandstand building of the Mežaparks Great Bandstand was commissioned. In the project, Moduls Engineering team installed the building services networks necessary for the functionality of the building: water supply and sewerage, power supply and lighting systems, as well as an automated fire detection and alarm system and electronic communications and security systems. One of the most challenging tasks at that stage of the construction was installation of the active lightning protection system with the tip of its termination rod rising 2.5 m above the bandstand dome.
‘This stage of the Mežaparks Great Bandstand construction perfectly showcases our area of special expertise, i.e. a complex approach to installation of building services systems. The solution includes installation of all the services necessary for the functionality of the building and, most importantly, is extremely efficient in terms of project implementation, as we could provide integration of all systems within one company. Therefore, no coordination of various nuances of installation of the building services among multiple teams was required,’ said Kristaps Grīniņš, Moduls Engineering Member of the Board.
This project phase included the construction of the security building with necessary infrastructure. Moduls Engineering installed water supply and sewerage, heating and cooling, ventilation, power supply and lighting systems, as well as security, video surveillance and electronic communications systems.
To ensure proper operation of the installed systems, service infrastructure of both buildings was upgraded with external cable channels for low voltage and power supply systems of the new bandstand and security buildings. As a part of improvement works, Moduls Engineering also installed outdoor lighting fixtures.
