This year Latvian athletes achieved excellent results at the World Cup stage. The competition concluded with the main race, Grand Prix, where Latvian sportsman Kristaps Neretnieks on Moon Ray won the first prize while Sabīne Siliņa, Andis Vārna and Anna Arhipova took the podium in several races on the other days of the competition.

‘We wish to congratulate our athletes on their excellent results, which make us very happy and give us confidence to continue this long-term relationship between Moduls Engineering and the Latvian Equestrian Federation. We wish our athletes more victories to come and we are already looking forward to Kristaps Neretnieks's start at the summer Olympics in Tokyo in 2020,’ said Jevgēņijs Savčuks, Moduls Engineering Member of the Board.

This stage of the Central European Word Cup zone has 12 courses. The main is Grand Prix Rīga, which allows scoring overall World Cup Points in the Central European zone as well as Tokyo 2020 qualification points and Longines FEI rating points.

This year, the Rīga stage saw more than 100 athletes with almost 180 horses from Poland, Finland, Belgium, Romania, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. This is the largest number of competitors in the history of this tournament. Thirty-three pairs started on the Grand Prix course with 140/160 cm high obstacles and only four pairs scored no penalty points on the main distance.
